I have noticed that within the Montessori method many things are either unconventional or anti-intuitive, sometimes both. Obviously, that's not easy to explain. However, I have decided to take on the challenge.
My objective as a specialist is to demystify the Montessori method and popularize it by explaining the key elements using common everyday words. For example, like the words I have been using to explain my Montessori theories to my husband (from the day that we met! This is how passionate I am about it!). He is not officially Montessori trained, although by now, he is most definitely "unofficially" trained; thanks to his lovely wife ;-) Therefore, if my headstrong French husband can now envisage Montessori as THE method to bring up our future children, I'm sure I will manage to convince you too!
